The 13th Iranian presidential election was held on Friday morning, June 19th 2021, in the southern Indian cities of Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Rajahmundry and Bangalore, despite the difficulties of the second corona wave and unfavorable weather conditions for torrential rains. Many Iranians living in India who, with the consciousness of patriotism, performed their national and civic duty at the ballot box and gave a stern response to the arrogant nonsense and the opponents of the Islamic Revolution.

Six polling stations were set up for the 13th Iranian presidential election in Maharashtra and southern India. The six boxes were set up at the Consulates General of the Islamic Republic in Mumbai and Hyderabad, the Iranian Mosque in Mumbai, the Lucky Hotel in Mumbai, the Imambara in Pune, India, Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh and Bangalore, India.

Mr. Mohammad Abolfazl Alikhani, Honorable head of The Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Mr. Ashouri, head of the Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, thanked and appreciated all our dear Iranian compatriots living in Indian for casting their votes.

At the end of the voting, Hojjat al-Islam and Muslims congratulated, Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi as the thirteenth President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

After the election of Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi as the thirteenth President of Iran, the President, Prime Minister of India, various groups and organization"s in separate statements congratulated him on his worthy election and wished success to the martyred nation of Iran.

In a Twitter message, the President of India, Mr. Ram Nath, congratulated Dr. Raisi on the occasion and said that he was confident that India-Iran relations would continue to grow under the leadership of Mr. Raisi.

The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, while congratulating Hojjat al-Islam and the Muslims informed that Mr. Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi, has also sent a message that he is interested in cooperating as much as possible to strengthen relations between the two countries.


The President of the Clergy Society of Maharashtra, Hojjat al-Islam and Muslims, Mr. Seyyed Aslam Razavi, said in a message: "Congratulations. The victory of Jajat al-Islam and the Muslims, Mr. Raisi, was a strong blow to the mouths of the gossipers and the arrogant and colonial powers, and it is a promise of a brilliant period for the oppressed and oppressed people."

The President of the Hyderabad Ulema and Sermon Assembly, Maulana Ali Haidar, in a message congratulating the worthy choice of Hojjat al-Islam and Muslims, Mr. Raisi, called this popular election a source of pride and announced that elected people with precious experience can lead the success of the Islamic Revolution and make everyone walk to the peaks of pride.

The widely circulated Urdu-language newspapers "Bemisal", Sada-e Hussaini and other newspapers congratulated Mr. Raisi on his proud victory as the thirteenth President of Iran, calling this historic event a turning point in Iran and the region.
